Attack of the Malware: Spyware Quake and Virus Alert Annoyance

Yesterday our PC had an attack coming from the internet. Seriously, I don’t takes credit for removing that ‘things’ lurking inside their HDD. But I don’t want to get ‘attacked’ by the irresponsible people who keep accusing I was the want who carry that virus or spyware or malware. It is quite irritating though, seriously. What if one day I really doing that? Sending a virus intentionally from one network hub to others. But I don’t have the guts of doing that so, what I will do is giving some simple step by step for those out there who nearly wanting formatting their HDD and crying for losing their precious data.

Then, if you happen to be installing the ‘recommended anti-spyware’ which is the program ‘Anti Spyware Quake’, then it is confirm that your PC is infected. While you’ve been deceived, some forums managed by some geeks out there says the Alert suggest you must install the program in order to remove the spyware and viruses, it is actually resides the running completely all the time!

Download all below:

Ewido anti-malware software from here.

Download FixSF.reg and FixSQ.reg(Please find it using Google, I seem to miss that part).

Download SmitFraud.fix .

Download Smitrem.exe by using Google search.

Extract smitFraud.fix and smiter.zip to one of your folder reside anywhere you want inside your drive.

Double click the FixSF.reg and FixSQ.reg and click ‘Yes’ to both of its dialog box.

Install Ewido.exe into your HDD and update the program (this is required most). After finished update, close program.

Restart your PC into ‘Safe Mode’. How to Boot into ‘SafeMode’:

During BIOS Configuration displays (Soon after the Windows turned off and restart), keep pressing the F8 keys until a boot menu comes up.

Select ‘Safe Mode’ and press enter.

While in Safe Mode, your internet connection is halted so, this is normal and don’t worry about this.

Inside the extracted folder, search for Smitfraudfix.cmd file and double click it, and select no. 2. If prompt a question whether clean registry select ‘Yes’. Allow it run the disk cleanup. After the Disk Cleanup finishes its task, quit the program.

Search the RunThis.Bat file and double click it. Just let the program run and quit soon after the Disk Cleanup finishes.

Run Ewido. Click ‘Complete System Scan’.

Check on ‘Perform Action on All Infections’ box.

Click Scan and Clean button.

After Ewido finishes scan, restart your windows as usual.

Listening to MP3 Files in Your Car

You can play MP3 files from your home stereo, from your computer, and from a portable player using headphones. But MP3 is still a relative newcomer in the world of car audio.

If your car's audio system doesn't recognize MP3 music discs, consider these less expensive workarounds:

Use a cassette player adapter. If your car has a cassette player, check out a CD-to-Cassette Player adapter. It looks like a cassette tape with a stereo cable hanging from one end. Plug the cable into your portable MP3 player's headphone jack, insert the cassette, and start listening to your MP3s through your car stereo. It sounds amazingly good - well, at least compared to the road noise.

Use a wireless FM adapter. Plug the cable from an FM transmitter into your portable MP3 player. Then tune your car's FM radio to the right frequency and listen to your MP3s. Unfortunately, sound quality varies because of local interference, and you're dependent on the batteries that power your wireless adapter.

Buy a car stereo with a CD Input jack. Some car stereos lack a CD player. Instead, they have a CD Input jack. Plug a 1/8-inch stereo cable between this jack and your portable MP3 player to hear MP3s through your car's stereo system.

Burn MP3 songs onto a CD in audio format. Does your car have a CD player? Then convert your MP3 songs back into standard CD audio format and copy them to a CD. You can't fit more than a dozen onto the CD, but at least you can hear them.

Connect a portable MP3 player to amplified speakers. Take some amplified speakers - like the ones that come with your PC - and plug a portable MP3 player into them. Carry it all to your car and start listening. To change songs, just swap new cards in and out of the portable player.

Just like car stereos, dedicated MP3 players for cars can be ripped off. To avoid that, substitute your portable MP3 player. You can easily grab your portable MP3 player when you leave the car, keeping it safe.

Do this could end of the MilkShape 3D for anyone who want use it to modified 3D object in Sims 2? (Actually I also a fan of Sims 2). We'll see about that.

LG KG800 ‘Chocolate’ Phone

Remember I post lately about latest LG ‘Chocolate Phone’? I read a few articles about it, the LG KG800 weighs just 83 grams, and has a 176x220 pixel display, Bluetooth, 128Mb of internal memory, a 1.3 megapixel camera plus an MP3 player. The look give us some simple and minimalist impression but it also remind us the Nokia 6111 and some of the Samsung’s product, also not forgetting Sony Ericsson MP3 Player.
At 95 x 48 x 15.2 mm and 83 g, it's slim, lightweight and 9 touch-sensitive navigational controls are lit up in bright red that covers the keypad beneath it. This also works as the 1.3 Megapixel camera, its 128 MB of internal memory will hold about 700 highest-quality pictures, which should suffice for most ‘shutterbugs’. Capable of storing only in the range of 40 MP3 files at best. Furthermore, simple playlist and shuffle, and USB 1.1 is merely sufficient; basic function it has to offer.
In my opinions though, this phone might be not for everyone, due to basic functionality and the price of having good-looking. Also, what makes me turn off is their lack of memory expansion. The LG KG800 recently available in Europe at May 2006, with price approximately €500 range. Not sure when it will come to Malaysia, but I know someone already set his/her mind on this stylish phones.

I just read some post regarding this latest mobile phone. It was product of LG, but the name of the model was quite special. Its called Chocolate Phone. I like the phone's stylish feature, but we haven't know what it feel like using it with our own hand. I hope it coming soon in Malaysia. :P
